Why are we different to other law firms?

We are a real alternative to instructing expensive London solicitors. We are a local firm, with experience of London High Court Cases. You can be assured that you will benefit from our experience in litigating high value High Court  matters but not have to pay London rates.

But it is not all £1m plus claims.  We of course take on County Court civil Disputes of all types (with the exception of Medical Negligence and Family) as well as advising on business matters, including HMRC matters.

We are environmentally friendly and very keen to reduce the Carbon Footprint of JH Law- we recycle all our paper, travel using public transport (where possible) and use local suppliers.  Also, unlike many law firms, we do not insist on fact to face meetings; indeed we have many clients who we deal with solely via email, fax or telephone.  This works especially well when the client is based a distance from our offices, or even overseas, or keeps unusual hours!

We aim to be as flexible as possible to cause as little disruption to our clients as we can, tailoring our service to the individual rather than dictating how our service is to be provided.

We are unique in that, because we are a niche practice, other firms can safely refer their existing clients for those one off or unusual cases they can not accommodate themselves, knowing that they will not lose their clients for the every day work.  This also benefits clients as they keep the continuity of care for routine matters but know that we are here to assist if they have a case outside their usual solicitor’s expertise.
